April 4th Retreat

Movement Mosaic

9:45 am - 4:30 pm Bolinas, CA

Join us for a small group somatic dance process on a beautiful bluff-side private property in Bolinas, California overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Somatic dance is therapeutic practice that brings our internal experience, including emotions, body memories, and nervous-system states, into external expression through organic movement. Our body's story is reflected in our posture, movement, and form, and often seeks to be expressed and witnessed through the soma (body). In this day-long retreat we will seed and then bring to life our current intentions of what we are seeking to let go of and what we are seeking to embody in our lives through reflection and dialogue, guided movement including one-on-one mini movement sessions, and free form dance. Dance can be a powerful portal into our body’s story, and can help us to rediscover and rewrite that story from the bottom up.
The experience takes place both outdoors with the ocean breeze and pacific waves as a backdrop and indoors, and includes:
  • Gentle guided movement and intention setting.
  • Group and one on one somatic dance process.
  • A nourishing farm-to-table organic and vegetarian lunch, morning and afternoon snacks, tea and coffee.
  • Spacious break time for optional journaling, beach walk, sunbathing etc.
  • Yoga Nidra and sound bath.
  • Ocean-view hot tub and shower.
